VILLA/HOUSE in Palafrugell
In Can Catalanet we find various buildings created in the surroundings of the farmhouse; the farmhouse is the initial building that was located on the land and the environment in which the architects decided to build other outstanding architectural elements.
The architects Clotet and Tusquets designed the construction of an annex in the shape of a piano to the farmhouse where they would properly constitute the house where they would place all the parts of the house spread over two floors, which we will define below.
The ground floor is distributed with the following elements: pantry, kitchen, dining room, porch, living room, double bedroom, bathroom, sink and changing room for bathers, barbecues and swimming pool.
In Can Catalanet we find a lower floor as a complement to the upper floor where the following parts are located: auxiliary bedroom, area for children, area for guests, patio and patio for guards, double bedroom, children's bedroom, living room and kitchen.
Can Catalanet is part of the Catalan architectural protected heritage since it is an outstanding project in the history and tradition of Llofriu. Recently renovated by the current owners, it follows the line of respect for the building but introducing a large number of unique details that have turned the space into a peculiar and original home.
In the reform, architectural elements have been highlighted, leaving the work alive and combining the different layers of construction of the house and its elements in order to give a special atmosphere to the space. This space is recently designed to give a natural touch to the interior and the rainwater is collected through the chains to water the plants that are inside.
In the living room you can breathe a delicious open -plan atmosphere thanks to the recent renovation of the floor with high-quality materials in its finish.
