Stahnsdorf is a municipality with around 16,500 inhabitants on the south-western outskirts of Berlin. It is located on the so-called "Teltow", a plateau to the south of the Spree valley, which is surrounded by the Nuthe and Havel rivers to the west. The district of Stahnsdorf is located on a historic trade route coming from Leipzig, which led through the small town via Anger and on to Berlin-Spandau via Stahnsdorf. The nearest highway junctions are Kleinmachnow and Potsdam-Babelsberg on the A115.
In the town center you will find various supermarkets, a pharmacy, specialist stores for horse riding and cycling, fitness equipment, toys, children's clothing as well as a building materials store, tilers and a cabinet maker.
