An elegant house with a garden and garage, nestled in the city of Tours, just a few minutes from its train station.
The city of Tours is the administrative centre of France's beautiful Indre-et-Loire department. Tours, a vibrant economic hub, is renowned for its built heritage. It lies between the River Loire and one of its tributaries, the River Cher. The city has made the most of its natural backd-rop and it benefits from the flow of countless visitors seeking to discover the world-renowned Centre Val de Loire region of France. There is a considerable student population in Tours thanks to its university and many higher education institutes. This brings life to its districts and boosts a range of shops, amenities and cultural activities here. There are two high-speed train stations in the city. From these stations, you can reach Paris in less than one hour by rail. There is also an airport you can quickly get to by motorway. The local area, nicknamed "France's Garden", is appreciated for the high quality of life it offers.
The house stands out for its beige brick facade underlined with tuffeau stone. It lies on a one-way street near Tours Cathedral in a calm, residential district set back from the city centre. It has a basement, a ground floor, a first floor and a second floor in the roof space. The house was built in the 1930s. It is crowned with an asymmetrical two-slope slate roof. On the west side, which faces the street, the facade is punctuated with four rectangular windows that frame an arched doorway at the top of a flight of four stone steps. The doorway's two pillars rise up to a stilted arch with a keystone that supports a small square window above it with a curved pediment. A cornice and several dressed stones carved into a point embellish the facade too. On the garden side, the elevation is rendered. Inside, the rooms, which were recently renovated, are bathed in natural light from many windows. The wood strip floors have a natural tone and the walls are white. The basement has a utility room, a workshop and a storage space. There is a garage in a neighbouring street. At the back of the house, there is a garden. It is not at all overlooked and it enjoys absolute privacy. It has terraces and is edged with clusters of flowering plants.

The house
The ground floor
The arched wooden door leads into a hall with a floor of cement tiles characteristic of the early 20th century and with several steps. A hallway takes you to a dining room, which leads to a lounge and then to a corridor. The rooms are bathed in natural light and raised in relation to the road. On the garden side, they lead out onto a terrace. Wood strip flooring extends across the rooms and the walls are painted white. Bookshelves take up part of one of the walls. From the corridor, two doors lead to an office and a kitchen. A third door leads to a shower room with a lavatory. The kitchen has a tiled floor and is filled with natural light from a window and a glazed door.

The first floor
A wooden staircase with a balustrade painted white leads up to the first floor. A landing connects to three bedrooms, one of which has a sloping attic ceiling with a roof window. The walls and floors are similar to those on the floor below. For example, white dominates here. There is a tiled bathroom with a lavatory. A door leads to a small staircase that takes you up to the loft.

The attic
Up in the roof space there is a fourth bedroom, bathed in natural light from roof windows on both sides. It is a bright room with wood strip flooring. It takes up a large part of the roof space. A passageway to a loft space has been kept.

The basement
The basement extends beneath the entire house. Its ceiling is two metres high. You can reach it from the kitchen, the garden and the road. It is divided into several spaces: a utility ...
