A group of 17th-century rural edifices with eight hectares of grounds, tucked away in France's unspoilt Perche nature park, 150 kilometres from Paris.
The estate covers eight hectares of meadows and forests in the beautiful Perche regional nature park in northern France, just five minutes from a village with shops for everyday needs. Paris is 150 kilometres away by car. From the train station in the town of La Loupe, 25 kilometres away, you can get to central Paris in 1 hour and 30 minutes by rail.
The property lies at the end of a tree-lined lane, in a commanding position on a wooded hillside. The five buildings that make up the group of rural edifices are arranged around a former court. Together, they form a hamlet-like collection of 17th-century buildings. Each of these edifices has been fully renovated. In total, they offer 10 bedrooms and 24 beds, as well as a reception hall and a restaurant with a bar. The elevations are coated with a regional sand-based rendering and are punctuated with windows set in surrounds of white stone. The buildings are crowned with gabled roofs of flat tiles. On the south side, there is a swimming pool beside a shelter and a hot tub. You can reach this pool area from a path.
The group of rural edificesThere are five buildings.
The first one stands on the east side. It has a reception room that serves as a restaurant today. Indeed, it stands out as a restaurant for its fireplace and bar. A wooden door leads into a corridor, which connects to a kitchen, a storeroom and a lavatory. From the courtyard, another door leads into a bedroom with a bathroom and a lavatory. An outdoor staircase at the back leads up to the first floor, where there is a bedroom with a bathtub and a lavatory.
On the south side, the second building houses a lounge with a fireplace and underfloor heating. You step straight into it via a glazed wall that faces the court. A staircase leads up to a mezzanine that has been turned into a reading room. From the court, a second door leads into a barn and a workshop. At the back, a separate entrance door leads into a large bedroom with a bathroom and a lavatory. An outdoor flight of steps leads up to another bedroom, which also has a bathroom and a lavatory.
The third bedroom stands on the north side. Two bedrooms with bathrooms lie up on the first floor, which you reach from the back. You step into the ground floor from the court via a glazed door. This ground floor has terracotta-tiled flooring. It has a lounge with a stone fireplace and a bedroom. A bathroom with a white-stone fireplace includes a lavatory. And a technical installations room can be reached from outside.
The fourth building extends the third one northwards. An entrance hall connects to a bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen and a second lounge. A wooden staircase leads up to a walkway that connects to three bedrooms. An outer door leads into a lounge with a door to a shower room with a lavatory. An indoor staircase leads up to a bedroom and a mezzanine floor. An outdoor flight of stone steps leads to an extra bedroom with a shower room and a lavatory.
On the west side, there is a fifth building. It has a storeroom and an open-sided shelter that faces the court. A glazed door leads into a lounge with a fireplace. On one side, a corridor connects to an office, a bedroom and a linen room. On the other side, a door leads into a kitchen. An indoor staircase leads up to the first floor. Up here, there is a first bedroom with a lavatory and a tap, as well as a second bedroom with a bathroom.
