In Aix-en-Provence, on the Puyricard plateau, the Bastides de Ganay are the very first bastides of Provence. Built around 1610 by Hubert de Ganay, a lawyer at the Parliament of Aix, in the heart of the Trevaresse forest and at the confluence of two valleys, under the lordship of the Archbishop of Aix.
